Leroy E. Hardee, retired postal employee died Saturday morning at Culver Hospital. He resided at 613 Illinois St. For many years he delivered special delivery letters and packages in Crawfordsville. Mr. Hardee was a playground supervisor at Mill School under a Works Progress Administration project in the early 1930's. He was also an ardent sports enthusiast. He was born March 14, 1890, the son of James and Elizabeth VanCleave Hardee. He married Ethel Ray Trees. Mr. Hardee was a member of the Browns Valley Christian Church. He is survived by two sons, James of this city and Charles of Brownsburg, and two sisters, Lillian and Dora Swisher, both of this city.
